Panther Classic Wrestling Tournament 2015

Beginning the upload of the Panther Classic videos.  Not real excited about some of the poor officiating issues of the semi-final match, Noah carried on and wins 3rd place in this tournament.

(camera shut off before match end. noah overcame some poor officiating and cheap wrestling and nearly pulled it off anyways. Most proud of the kid composing self through the match, after match, and then coming back to wrestle well for third).

Match 2 beating up on GP kid.  Video cut again, but just a bunch more points and eventual win, so not sure I’m going to dig up the remaining portion.

Northwest Duals Wrestling Tournament 2014

4th trip with Noah and his panther team to the NW Duals tournament in Oregon.  Team ended up fourth this year, but Noah had his best year yet.

Out of 8 matches, I believe it was 7 he won by pin in first round and one he won by tech fall.  He earned his team 47 out of 48 possible points… Not bad.

Graham Morin Wrestling Tournament 2014

Playing catch up again. Noah participated in his 4th Graham Morin tournament 12/14.  This one he finished as Champion at 145#, pinning all early round apponents and winning by points for the finals.   • An improvement over last year where he finished 2nd
  • An improvement over his sophomore year where he finished 3rd
  • And an improvement over his first tournament here where he learned about being in a double arm-bar and hence puking at the end of the match.

Wrestling in Marysville 2014

Matches with MPHS and MGHS last night. I think both ended in 15-0 tech falls.
This first one’s highlight (2nd match of night) might be the referee’s cartwheel.

2014-2015 Begins

I’ve found that I’m not recording as much and trying to watch and enjoy the kids last highschool year a bit more.  I couple here from a recent tournament in Auburn.  A win and and got caught loss.

I’ll get digging for anything I have from a tough Thunderdome tournament of last month soon.

2013-2014 Wrestling Season

Noah was interrupted shortly into January with a sublux of the shoulder.  Knocked him out for a month.  He came back and worked his way to 4th at Districts, advancing to Regionals.  30 seconds into the first regionals match the shoulder issue came back and that was it for the season. Out.

Good season over all with intentions to heal for a few more weeks and jump into freestyle.

Plans don’t always workout.  A swollen and infected bursa sack two weeks later has kept him out of all mat work.  Surgery was today after several attempts to fix the issue other wise. More vid and reports when he heals up and fall wrestling starts.

North West Duals 2013 in Hillsboro Oregon

Team Duals in this 28 team tournament is always fun and competitive. Noah’s third trip here with the varsity and he finishes 7-1.  The Snohomish team finished 2nd overall as well, the best finish they’ve had here.

Third time to the Graham Morin tournament for Noah. Each year a small improvement over the last with this years results bringing him to the championship match and finishing second behind a stud from Oak Harbor.
